Boys sweaters get judged twice. Once by the parent, on whether the thing survives a season, and once by the kid, on whether he'll actually put it on. Somewhere around eight, the second opinion starts winning.
Every sweater here is knit from organic cotton, in small batches in NYC, in sizes 2T through 12-13. They pull on over a tee, they go in the washing machine, and they hold their shape long enough to reach a younger sibling. Nothing here needs a dry cleaner or a special drawer.
What's In The Collection
Five kinds of knit, all of them cotton or a cotton cashmere blend.
The chunky knits are the heaviest thing in the collection. The Chunky Marled Cotton Sweater uses a marled yarn that hides daily wear, and the heavier gauge means it holds its shape instead of stretching out at the cuffs.
The striped crewnecks are the everyday ones. There's a navy and white stripe, a red version, and a yellow and ivory with a button placket at the neck that makes it easier to get over a head that doesn't want to cooperate.
Colorblock covers the Asymmetric Colorblock Sweater and the gray and orange crewneck, both plain cotton with the color built into the knit.
The intarsia sweaters knit the motif directly into the fabric rather than printing it on, so there's nothing to crack or peel in the wash. The Tree Intarsia and the Bird Intarsia are the two.
And the cotton cashmere hooded sweaters sit between a sweater and a hoodie, in an 85% cotton, 15% cashmere blend that still machine washes cold.
Crewneck Or Hooded, And When Each One Wins
The crewnecks are the school sweater. They layer flat under a jacket, they don't bunch at the neck, and they look intentional in a class photo without anyone having tried.
The hooded ones do a different job. In the shoulder seasons, when a coat is too much and a tee isn't enough, the hood covers the walk in and then gets shoved back the moment it warms up, which saves anyone from carrying a spare layer all day. If you want a heavier hooded layer in fleece or French terry rather than a knit, that's the kids hoodies collection.
Most families end up with one of each. The crewneck goes on more days; the hooded one goes on the days nobody checked the forecast.
Organic Cotton, Not Just Cotton
Every sweater here is GOTS certified organic cotton, which covers how the cotton is grown and what can be used to finish the fabric. That second part is the one parents feel. A lot of what makes a cheap knit itch is the finish, not the fibre, and there is nothing scratchy in these at the neck or the cuffs.
The knitting happens in NYC, in small batches, which is why the details hold up: ribbed cuffs and hems that keep their grip, seams that don't twist after a few washes, marled and heathered yarns that look the same in month six as month one. Sizing, From Toddler 2T Through 12-13
Toddler boy sweaters run 2T, 3T, 4T, and 5T. Kids' sizes go 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, and 12-13.
Everything is cut with a bit of room, on purpose. A sweater has to fit over a long sleeve without pulling, and a kid ordered for in September should still fit in March. If he's between sizes, or you're buying ahead for fall, take the larger one.

We knit one sweater and merchandise it into two collections. The fit, the sizing, and the construction are the same whether you arrived here or at girls' sweaters, which is deliberate: it means the sweater moves down to a younger sibling without anyone deciding it looks wrong on the way.

Are Cotton Sweaters Warm Enough For Winter?
The chunky knits and the cotton cashmere styles are the warmest of the group and hold up on their own into cold weather. The lighter crewnecks are better as a layer under a coat. Cotton also breathes, which matters more than people expect in an overheated classroom.
Do You Make Boys' Cardigans Or Sweater Vests?
Not currently. The kids sweaters collection has the full knit range if you want to see what else is in it, and the hooded styles are the closest thing here to an easy on-and-off layer.
Will A Cotton Sweater Itch?
No. There's no wool in any of these, and the GOTS certification restricts the chemical finishes that cause most of the irritation parents blame on the fabric itself.
How Should They Be Washed?
Machine wash cold, then lay flat to dry. Skip the dryer and store them folded rather than hung, and they'll keep their shape for years.
Can They Be Handed Down Or Resold?
