A paint horse in tan and cobalt trots across a field of kelly green, edged in a running stitch of orange, like a small framed painting worn on the chest. It has the look of a grown-up's favorite sweater, the one with a story behind it, scaled down for a kid and knit in NYC from GOTS-certified organic Italian cotton. Panel, border, and horse are one piece with the sweater.
The horse isn't printed on, the way most kids' graphic sweaters are. It's intarsia, a technique where the picture is knitted directly into the fabric, stitch by stitch, the way heirloom sweaters were always made. It won't crack, peel, or fade like a print, because it's not sitting on the sweater. It is the sweater.
Ivory keeps it quiet enough for a school day. The green panel is what makes it the sweater other parents ask about. Contrast-tipped collar, ribbed cuffs and hem. Unisex and sized 2-3T to 12/13, so it hands down to a sibling, or passes forward through our Pass It On resale program.

Returns & Exchanges
To start a return, sign in to your Firebird account with the email you used at checkout, open your order, and select "Return items." No password needed: we email you a one-time code. Once approved, you will receive a prepaid return label by email.
Firebird accepts returns of unworn, unused and unwashed products within 30 days of shipment, for free.
Need a different size? Email us with your order number and the size you want, and we will set up the exchange.
